Hikers Discover WWII Bomb in Cheras

A group of hikers on a hiking track near Bukit Cheras Awana and Bukit Hartamas in Cheras discovered a World War II bomb over the weekend.

According to The Star, the bomb is said to weigh over 200kg. Upon discovery, the hikers immediately alerted the police, and a bomb squad was immediately sent to the scene.

The bomb is expected to be disposed off by the Selangor police Bomb Disposal Unit today or tomorrow. Until then, the public is advised to stay away from the area until tomorrow. Entrances connected to the hiking track have been cordoned off for public safety.
