The Expat Wine Dinner at La Creperie de Caroline

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

It was an enjoyable, casual affair for The Expat Group’s recent Wine Dinner, held at La Creperie in Bangsar. A good group was on hand to enjoy French wines and some delicious French fare, as well. Guests arrived and sipped a refreshing La Closerie des Lys Les Fruitieres Blanc, a fresh and approachable white wine. Appetizers, a selection of tasty mini Gallettes prepared by the chef, were followed by a Homemade Mushroom Soup, both accompanied by La Closerier des Lys Les Chardonnay, always a nice pairing with mushrooms! Diners chose between three main courses, with Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Shrimp, Dory Fish Fillet, or Chicken offered. Some diners stuck with their Chardonnay, while others sampled the Chateau Siffle Merle Traditional Red wine that was on offer, too.

Of course, dessert at an authentic French creperie was expected to be outstanding, and guests were not disappointed! A mouthwatering Salted Butter Caramel Crepe was served that had everyone smiling and finished the evening on a delectably sweet note.
