Among the roads involved are; Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Perak and Jalan P Ramlee.

According to Race organiser GT Global Race (M) Sdn Bhd, a temporary International Automobile Federation (FIA) approved race circuit would be built on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. The construction for this will take place the night before (the race) between 10pm and 6am the next morning.

Throughout the three race days, from 6am onwards, contractors would close the affected roads and progressively close gates and access to properties on these roads. By 7.30am, all public and non-race vehicles will be cleared from the track, and the roads will not be available for use by the public.

The circuit will begin in front of Suria KLCC beside the Petronas Towers and proceed anti clockwise around a 3.2km circuit.

We have no other avenues for car races? How much did we spend building Sepang? Given our “MyVi Rempits” are notorious do we need to encourage them in this type of city sports? Who does this benefit? Not the citizens of KL for sure. Just a select few…

Sukan Jaruyothin

As an expat, we can not wait to this weekend to be over! And I agree with you on Myvi, they are notorious drivers!

Betul2 kayu lah susahkan org. ….go to sepang lah shit brains. ….

The inconvenient truth. Msians as a whole receive bad deals from the govt. Malaysians are passive and dont quite know their rights. So the bloodsucking politicians of the day really act like dictators. The current govt is one of the most rakyat unfriendly in the history of this country.

Hassan Farid Islahudin

The race organisers are making money from this enterprise and should compensate every organisation whose workday and productivity is disrupted by the event.

My room can be a hospitality suite for rent. Any takers. Premium location right in front of KLCC NEXT TO PBB. GREAT view. Probably better than the stupid paddock grandstand they build in front of my room. Air conditioning included. Food can be arranged. 5K per day.

Alan Wee

Staff taken it already dude ? for free

Rizal Malik

Sukan Jaruyothin

You are the only one. I guess whoever that is really trying to put KL on the world map as a place to see and visit

Suzana Jamil

It’s just that KL road is small and congested. Putrajaya would’ve been better

Ai Lin

It would be so much better to close the road at putrajaya for Grand Prix…!

Why Moon

Will be risky as either one of the bridge may collapse

Nasser Hamid

Do we need this grand pricks

Noel Faizal Abu Hassan

No!! We need a new Prime Minister

Ong Phaik Kim

Already the barrier causes the narrow road even narrow. I was forced to drive onto the on coming vehicle lane in Jln Ampang near Renaissance hotel! And bus scrape the top of the wires barrier! A truly stupid idea! When we have proper F1 circuit in Sepang!

Sukan Jaruyothin

We live and work in the city. We could see already it is going to be crazy! With preparations are being done for the race, we could clearly notice that this city does not care one tiny bit about the people or pedestrians who are working in the areas. There is no convenient places for people to cross! not that there some in the past. They also have taken away traffic lights off one junction. Very dangerous!!!!!!

MengHow Tan

No brain shit. This gonna worsen the traffic.

Rama Kolkman

Its gonna be a busy first week of August, also with the Olympic committee meeting and something about an Asean meeting.
